For it is not my own strength,
that will carry me through,
but His love and His power,
that will guide and renew.
In His eyes, I am chosen,
given a role to fulfill.
His promises stand firm,
His plans, sovereign and still.
He is stronger than any Goliath,
that forces men to go quiet.
His voice is dressed–in thunderous sound.
THE I AM THAT I AM,
brings strongholds down.

I always thought that
JOY
was just a thing I could attain.
Until I realized He
CAME
DOWN
on earth like rain.
A little bundle hidden–
deeply in a manger.
A big message nailed–
right between two strangers.

was there in the beginning,
but it was not the beginning.
is here till the end,
but it is not the end.
For there is someone that takes emptiness away.
Someone who fills the void of empty places– and brightens up dark unwanted spaces.
JESUS.
the beginning,
the middle,
the end.
eliminator of emptiness,
our defender,
and friend.

the thing that
needs to
break-through
is hiding
deep inside
of you.
While other times
you are
inside of it
hoping to escape
cuz you no longer fit.
