The Refiners Fire

LORD refine me with your lovely flame.

Mark me with your majestic name.

Burn me holy into purity.

Holy Ghost fire inside of me.

Sanctifying this temple so all may see.

The reflection of Christ I aim to be.

His Grace is sufficient

The Missing Masterpiece

He is looking for the final piece–of His beautiful masterpiece.

Earnestly searching and tracing–His steps back to the start.

The piece He is looking for–came through the belly part.

It’s image marked–just like the others.

It’s likeness unique–set apart–from it’s brothers.

He saw the missing piece–before it went–before it ceased.

He pursed it with love–because He seeks what He please.

He values His masterpiece–for it is a reflection from His heart.

So when pieces go missing– the picture tears apart.

O missing piece—do you not know how–valuable you are?

Do you understand your master–made you exactly how you are?

There is nothing wrong with your jagged cuts and your tears–

Every line and curve on you– is meant to fit perfectly in Here.

A Waiting Season

12/7/23 | Journal Thoughts

Ever find yourself in a waiting season? You know, the one that feels like you are stuck in an ER waiting room with doctors moving pass you and looking everywhere but at you. Where the air is thick with anticipation, fear, worry and doubt. The clock ticking slowly as you wait for answers to all your questions and prayers.

If you’re nodding along, welcome to the club.

Waiting and Testing: A Dynamic Duo

In this season, I am waiting and wrestling, prepping for each test life is ready to hand me. It’s not a walk in the park; it’s more of a stroll through a maze with unexpected twists. Some turns lead to a dead end and often were due to my poor decisions and others lead to beautiful moments of breakthrough.

Every wind of the maze presents a new challenge, a fresh opportunity to exercise that waiting muscle that runs all throughout my entire body. That muscle that first flexes in the ear and lastly in my toes. It require listening first to grow and then walking to go.

Sharpening the Edges

Waiting isn’t just about twiddling your thumbs. It’s a refining process, a heated whetstone that hones your character edges.

Each day of waiting is a stroke on the blade, shaping you into a sharper, more resilient version of yourself.

The Challenge Within the Stillness

Being tested and sharpened isn’t always comfortable. There are moments when the waiting feels like a relentless exam, and you wonder if anyone’s keeping score. It’s precisely in these moments that the depth of your character is revealed.

Finding Peace Amidst the Waiting Storm

Yet, in the midst of this waiting storm, there’s a peace that stands unwavering. It’s the moments you get a revelation of truth in the word of God or a rush of goodness through your time of worship.

It’s not the absence of chaos but the presence of assurance that you’re being prepared for what’s ahead. It’s the quiet confidence that the waiting isn’t in vain. It’s the moments you get a revelation of truth in the word of God or a rush of goodness through your time of worship.

Embracing the Journey

So, if you’re in the thick of a waiting season, chin up. You’re not alone in this waiting room. You’re being tested and sharpened, and every moment is a stroke of the whetstone, refining the masterpiece that is you.

Embrace the journey, because on the other side of waiting lies a version of yourself with edges so sharp, you’ll cut through any other obstacle with grace.

Cloud In The Wilderness

Today….

I found myself back on the floor again.

Wrestling a cloud that swept over me.

This one, cumulus…

Big and Grey.

With arms that boldly void out the day.

Cumulus swollen with liquid death,

prepared to blow it’s liquid breath.

But I ran….

I hid….

under the sun.

concealed myself with the piercing one.

The one with warm arms of ray.

The sun that welcomes me to stay.

What did this cloud think–

coming into my wilderness?

Did it not know—

the Son covers me all–with His goodness?
